Seasonal Child Care
The seasonal child care program pays child care subsidies to eligible seasonally employed agricultural families. The program’s purpose is to provide safe, licensed child care while their parents are working in agricultural settings.

Who is eligible?
Families qualify for seasonal child care when they are:
- Employed in agricultural work
- Earn 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level
- At least 50 percent of their annual earned income must be from seasonal agricultural work
The seasonal child care program can help pay for these kinds of care:
- Licensed or certified child care centers
- Licensed or certified family child care homes
Families access the program by contacting the seasonal child care contractors that serve the county where the family lives. The list of contractors is below.

The Department of Early Learning (DEL) is revising subsidy regulations (rules) for the Seasonal Child Care and Working Connections Child Care programs starting in spring 2009. Eventually, rules for both subsidy programs will be located in WAC chapter 170-290.
