State laws for licensed child care and ECEAP

Laws that govern licensed child care in Washington are part of the Revised Code of Washington (RCW). State laws are passed by the Washington State Legislature – or by the voters if an initiative – and are signed by the Governor. Laws regarding child care licensed or certified by DEL are located in many sections of Chapter 43.215 RCW.

Laws regarding the state-funded Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP) also are in Chapter 43.215 RCW (see RCW 43.215.400 through 43.215.450).
