Working Connections and Seasonal Child Care Subsidy Rule Changes

Proposed DEL child care subsidy rules are available for public review and comment through July 18, 2009.

The Department of Early Learning (DEL) invites the public to give formal input on proposed changes to the Working Connections Child Care program and Seasonal Child Care program rules. These rules are currently in Washington Administrative Code (WAC) chapters 170-290 and 170-292. A formal rule proposal required by law was filed on June 3, 2009.

There will be two public hearings to give testimony in-person:

Tuesday, July 7, 2009 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Tacoma Public Library downtown branch 1102 Tacoma Ave. South, Tacoma WA 98402. The hearing will be in the main auditorium.
Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Yakima Child Care Resource & Referral (located at Catholic Family & Child Services) 5301 Tieton Drive, Suite C, Yakima, Wash. 98909. A Spanish interpreter will be provided for this hearing.
