Other Early Learning Professional Development Activities

There are other ways for early childhood professionals to enhance their education and training.

Here are just a few examples:

The Quality Rating and Improvement System pilot design communities will fund some education and training for early childhood professionals.
The Department of Early Learning partners with School's Out Washington to provide school-age child care professional development. This includes a number of activities, such as training events across the state and maintenance and staffing of a provider toll-free number to insure accessibility to technical support assistance.
The Department of Early Learning works with the Washington Association for the Education of Young Children to provide subsidy training to family home child care providers.
The Department of Early Learning partners with the Washington State Child Care Resource & Referral Network to provide support to Family, Friends and Neighbor caregivers.
