Other Early Learning Professional Development Activities
There are other ways for early childhood professionals to enhance their education and training.
Here are just a few examples:
- The Quality Rating and Improvement System pilot design communities will fund some education and training for early childhood professionals.
- The Department of Early Learning partners with School's Out Washington to provide school-age child care professional development. This includes a number of activities, such as training events across the state and maintenance and staffing of a provider toll-free number to insure accessibility to technical support assistance.
- The Department of Early Learning works with the Washington Association for the Education of Young Children to provide subsidy training to family home child care providers.
- The Department of Early Learning partners with the Washington State Child Care Resource & Referral Network to provide support to Family, Friends and Neighbor caregivers.
