ELAC members
The Early Learning Advisory Council (ELAC) is a diverse group of individuals with a common goal: Providing the Department of Early Learning with input and recommendations to inform DEL's work.
ELAC includes parents, child care providers, health/safety experts and legislators, as well as representatives of Tribal Nations, independent schools, the K-12 and higher education systems, and others interested in creating a statewide early learning plan that helps all children realize their full potential.
Some ELAC members are appointed by the Governor. Others are appointed by various entities as required in the legislation creating ELAC. The current ELAC co-chairs are Jada Rupley, associate superintendent for ESD 112, and Lorena Lowell, a child care provider and business owner in White Salmon.
