Regional Data about Infants and Toddlers

Compared with other stages of life, there is little data available about infant and toddlers. Beyond birth record information, very few points exist at which data are collected on a scale that would allow policymakers to draw conclusions about young children’s well-being and early learning experiences.

DEL recently funded lead agencies in 10 regions across the state to engage in an assessment and planning effort. Each region produced a report with regional data, stakeholder perspectives and services to support infants and toddlers. This data reinforces and provides additional context for the state-level data and helps to describe unique local and regional circumstances.
